6.4.2 Price
Fees are set high enough to give Marktune credibility in the eyes of the prospective client. Fees are charged on an hourly or daily rate, fixed fee, or on a retainer basis depending upon the client's needs. The hourly or daily fee applies to very short-term assignments - a few days or one week at most. The main pricing approaches will be:
Hourly fees. One hour of Marktune consultant’s work starts from 50 Euro. With hourly wages immediately specify the cost of hour of consultants’ job with different skills and the approximate amount of work. Many customers psychologically difficult to pay 50-100 Euro per hour specialist, so often an hourly fee applies when work on the project that takes several weeks. Typically, customers do not agree to such a form of payment for a longer project, preferring to set a fixed price. Moreover, clients were difficult to control how many hours company actually spent on the project, which almost always creates tension.
A fixed payment for the project. An average consulting project will cost for the company 50 000 Euro. In the practice of consulting is increasingly being used precisely this method of establishing the value of works in which the cost of the project stipulates immediately. Many large companies have traditionally used the hourly fee, change to a fixed form of payment. This helps both clients and consultants to monitor their budgets.
Payment as a percentage of the result. Sometimes clients offer consultants of Marktune a form of payment, depending on the outcome of the project, such as a percentage of profits. Theoretically, this form of payment is ideal, but in most cases, this form of payment must be rejected by Marktune consultants for the following reasons:
-
company pay for advice, but the responsibility for its realization lies entirely on the client, and not a consultant;
-
to identify, received a client profit or loss, parties need an independent arbiter, such as auditor. Hiring an independent auditor will require both time and money. In modern Russian conditions, with double-counting, to determine whether the client has received the profit or loss, impossible;
-
advice of consultants is often possible to avoid mistakes and prevent the wrong action. In this case the consultant did not make a profit, but helps to avoid losses, that is no less important. However, it is almost impossible to quantify the contribution of the consultant;
-
effect of the consultans’ work can be obtained only after some time, during which his work is unpaid;
-
before the start of the project is practically impossible to accurately quantify the value of future profits or other benefits for the customer.
Combined form of payment. Marktune will often use a combined form of payment, when, for example, the consultant receives a guaranteed base pay and bonus for the result.
